Khazna Data Centers has announced that work has started on two new data centers in Dubai, UAE. The data centers are called DXB3 and DXB2, located in Ibn Battuta and Dubai Design District, respectively. DXB3 and DXB2 will have a combined data center capacity of 43MW. DXB2 will come online in Q3 2023, while DXB3 will be in operation in Q1 2024. According to Khazna DC, DXB3 is an extension of an existing data center transferred to the company after a partnership with e& and G42.
The CEO of Khazna Data Centers, Hassan Al Naqbi, said: “The functioning of our digital economy highly depends on data today, with data centers as an ever-increasingly indispensable component for the success of companies in the digital era. The establishment of DXB2 and DXB3 and the continuous investments of Khazna Data Centers in the UAE is a testament to our integral role in supporting the country’s digital economy and digital future.”
Earlier in January, Khazna Data Centers revealed that it was developing two data centers in Dubai through a partnership with Dubai Internet City. It seems the data centers announced earlier are the ones in development now.
