Key Point Technologies, a Russian data center operator, has broken ground on a new facility in Novosibirsk. The data center is set to be one of the largest in Siberia, with a total capacity of 8MW. The Tier III quality facility will provide 8MW at completion. First announced in 2022, the first phase will provide 440 racks, while the second phase will add the same number once more. The facility's primary designer and builder is Free Technologies Engineering, while DC Square provides technical consulting. The facility will be built to Tier III standards, ensuring high levels of reliability and uptime. It will be equipped with advanced cooling and power systems to ensure efficient operation and energy efficiency.
The location of the new data center is significant, as Novosibirsk is an important transport hub in Siberia. The city is also home to a number of universities and research institutes, making it an attractive location for technology companies. Key Point Technologies is already one of the largest data center operators in Russia, with facilities in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Kazan. The company has been rapidly expanding its operations in recent years.
