Unitas Global has bought INAP’s network business. By so doing, INAP will now become Unitas Global’s customer. Per the agreement, Unitas will take over INAP’s routing software called Managed Internet Route Optimizer (MIRO). MIRO will be integrated into Unitas’ global network Unitas Reach. This will become a single platform for customers to purchase and design global networks. In addition, INAP will also be bringing its enterprise customers to Unitas Reach. Furthermore, the agreement also includes all of INAP’s Japan business.
More than 1,000 multinational enterprise customers will be joining Unitas Global’s network base from INAP. INAP will also not stop offering its connectivity services, colocation solutions, and cloud solutions. The CEO of Unitas Global, Patrick Shutt, said the company is happy to have acquired INAP’s network business and welcome its employees, customers, and vendors to the Unitas Global group. INAP filed for bankruptcy in March 2020.
