icolo.io Opens Second Data Center in Mombasa

Kenyan data center firm icolo.io has announced the completion and opening of its new facility in Mombasa, Kenya. The company posted on LinkedIn that the iColo MBA-2Nyali facility is open for business. The data center has 1.7MW of power and has 13,000 square feet (1,200 square meters) of floor space. It also has the capacity to host up to 580 racks. 

iColo first announced the data center in May 2021, scheduled to be completed in Q1 2022. MBA2 is iColo’s second facility in Mombasa. MBA1 is a 226-rack single-story data center with 4,800 square feet (450 square meters) of floor space. 

There are 15 data centers in Kenya.
