Huawei Cloud: Huawei To Launch Third Data Center in Chile

Huawei has announced its plans to develop its third data center in Chile. The Chinese company revealed to the press that it would build a data center in Chile's Santiago Metropolitan Region. Huawei will be investing up to $100m in the project. The company launched its first data center in the country in 2019. It also announced plans for a second in 2020. The third facility is scheduled to be in operation in H1 2023. 

Huawei's Cloud & AI manager in Chile, Jason Jin, said the company is excited to be announcing the development as it is a piece of fantastic news for Chile's digital ecosystem. According to Jin, Huawei made a commitment to transforming Chile's technological space, and this development is a testament to that commitment.
