Huawei has revealed that it will be developing three data center facilities in Indonesia for Aesler Grup Internasional Tbk. Besides, Huawei has broken ground on one of the data centers. The two companies committed to developing data centers in the country last year. The first facility is scheduled to come online later in the year. Aesler Grup was founded in 2010, and it is registered as an architecture and engineering consultancy firm. Aesler plans to develop multiple ‘eco data centers’ with up to 88MW of capacity under the name AESLER-GREENIX.
Huawei’s role is to provide Aesler with prefabricated data center modules needed to develop the data centers. The President of Aesler Group, Jang Rony, said the company aims to become the largest green technology data center provider in Indonesia by focusing on eco and green energy data center development. The first data center in development will have a total capacity of 16MW and 2,500 racks. It will also have a PUE of 1.4. The second and third data centers will also have 16MW and 56MW of capacity, respectively.
