Northern Virginia: Hanley Energy expands in Virginia, will base US headquarters in Loudoun County

Hanley Energy has decided to expand its operations in Loudoun County, Virginia. The Irish company will be leasing a 36,600 square foot building from Merritt Properties for this purpose. Merritt initially bought the 6.7-acre site with plans to build a light industrial building over it. Besides, the construction is to begin in June, while Merritt Construction will also be managing the construction.

The new data center facility will also be the Company’s US headquarters. CEO of Hanley Energy, Clive Gilmore, commented that choosing Virginia as its North American Headquarters was a strategic choice. He said Loudoun’s conducive business environment and its strong governance and proximity to international travel were vital in making the decision.
