Estonia: Greenergy Opens a Data Center in Estonia

Greenergy Data Centers OÜ has announced that it opened its first data center in Estonia. The three-story facility spans 156,000 square feet (14,500 square meters) in the Saue Parish near Tallinn. Upon full build-out, the data center will have three buildings with a total capacity of 31.5MW. Greenergy said it has invested up to €40 million in the development of the facility.
The founder of Greenergy Data Center, Üllar Jaaksoo, said the company is opening a new data center in Estonia while also adding that its neighbors in the Nordic countries have been making the same move. The data center was first announced in 2015, while work started in February 2020. Jaaksoo revealed that Greenergy is also planning to develop data centers in Lithuania and Latvia in the nearest future.
