Norway’s Green Mountain announced this week that it was granted approval to develop a new building at its data center campus outside Oslo, Norway. This planned facility will be a three-story, 9,600 square-meter building at its Enebakk campus, and construction is expected to start soon and be completed by September 2024.

Green Mountain CEO Svein Atle Hagaseth said, “We are currently experiencing great demand for our services and I am pleased to see that more and more international customers are looking to Norway and the Nordics for their data center needs.”

The company also confirmed that a new client has reserved close to 5MW of the capacity in the new data center. The client was not named but is reportedly an international technology firm.

Green Mountain operates three facilities across Norway: Oslo, Rjukan, and Rennesøy. The company has also planned other campuses in locations including Gismarvik, Kalberg, Undheim, and Hønefoss, where the company has signed a 90MW hosting deal with TikTok.
