GlobalConnect A / S: GlobalConnect acquires Nianet

Global Connect has entered into an agreement to acquire Nianet, the Danish electricity companies' joint fibre net provider. 

Nianet was established in 2003 and owned jointly by 13 Danish energy companies. Nianet, which has approximately 150 employees, provides Internet and data center services.

GlobalConnect provides fibre net, data centres and cloud solutions and covers Denmark, Northern Germany and parts of Sweden with a high-speed optical fibre network.
