Equinix: Equinix's PE3 data center launched in Perth, Australia

Equinix has announced that its PE3 data center in Perth, Australia, has launched, the third IBX facility in the city. According to reports, the first phase of the project provides a capacity of 700 cabinets spanning 1,830 sqm (38,600 sqtf), following an investment of US$54 million (A$71.7 million) for phase one.

Speaking about the launch, managing director of Equinix Australia Guy Danskine commented: "The opening of our 18th IBX in Australia is another significant milestone for Equinix. The West Australian market has experienced substantial growth driven by the acceleration of digital transformation across industries."

He added: "Digital leaders are increasingly coming to Equinix to access all the necessary essential infrastructure required to create a digital advantage."
