Empyrion (DoDid) Singapore: Empyrion DC buys a 12.5MW data center in Singapore

Empyrion DC of Singapore has completed the acquisition of Dodid Pte. Ltd. and its data center in Singapore. The data center acquired offers 113,000 square feet (10,500 square meters) of space. It is also a Tier III certified data center with 12.5MW of capacity. Although the terms of the deal were not revealed but according to W Media, the transaction was completed for around S$200 million (US$146.2m). Empyrion is 100% owned by funds managed by Seraya Partners. The company was also registered in 2020. Empyrion also says it plans to have data centers in five of Asia’s most strategic data center markets. However, this is Empyrion’s first data center.
In addition, Seraya is a fund manager focused on investing in hyperscale data centers and energy transition opportunities in Asia. Upon announcing the news, Seraya says its operating team with that of Empyrion will work together to launch state-of-the-art high-power density hyperscale data center services. It will also leverage green energy to reduce its carbon footprint.
