Echelon Data Centres has announced a debt finance agreement with Starwood Capital Group. The agreement sees Echelon raise over €855 million ($969.8m). Echelon will use the funds to finance the completion of data centers on its four facilities in Ireland. The sites include DUB40, DUB20, DUB10, and DUB30. The senior VP at Starwood Capital, David Smith, said the financing shows the company’s commitment to investing in the data center industry and the Irish market.

The CEO of Echelon DC, Niall Molloy, also noted that the company is happy to be expanding its productive relationship with Starwood Capital through the development of the four data center campuses. Echelon Data Centres was founded in 2019, and it operates six facilities across the UK and Ireland. It also has a potential data center combined capacity of 500MW.
