DE-CIX has revealed its plans to expand to the Nordic region. The company has partnered with Bulk Data Centers on this development. Bulk Data Centers will be housing DE-CIX’s IX platforms in Kristiansand, Norway (Campus N01), Oslo, Norway (OS-IX), and Esbjerg, Denmark (Campus DK01). In addition, DE-CIX will also open IX platforms in Finland. The expansion into the Nordic region will allow its customers in the Nordics to get access to faster and more efficient global internet exchange services.

CEO of DE-CIX, Ivo Ivanov, said the Nordic region is home to some of the most developed digital markets. He added that even with this, the available interconnection infrastructure in the region is not on the same level as the digital maturity of the Nordics’ economy. The Executive Vice President of Bulk Data Centers, Gisle M. Eckhoff, noted that the partnership between the two companies would further improve the options for customers to access and interconnect a wide range of services adding to the very low latency to major markets.
