DC Alliance has announced that it signed an MOU with Pacific Blockchain Corporation. The MOU will see the data center developer look into developing a Tier III rated data center in Palau. According to DC Alliance, the facility will have an initial capacity of 1MW while also accommodating 200 racks. It will also have the potential of reaching 5MW in capacity with up to 1,000MW upon full buildout. If the project comes to fruition, it will be the first Tier-rated data center in Palau.
The executive chairman of DC Alliance, Roy Wong, said the company has always identified the possible gains of operating at the Edge. He added the company’s agreement in Palau is its first step out of Australia into a data center market with great potential. Wong further noted that DC Alliance is happy that Pacific Blockchain Corporation has confidence in the company to design, develop, and operate the first Uptime-Certified data center in the Republic of Palau.
