According to reports, Reef Group is planning to build a technology park and data center near Didcot, Oxfordshire. The proposed plans, which have the company seeking a Local Development Order (LDO), detail a 23-hectare site located in Appleford, on the northern edge of Didcot. Public consultation on the proposals is open until the end of May (25th).

Although plans were initially submitted back in 2016, the LDO would enable the company to pursue 110,000 sqm (1.18 million sqft) of data center development, and up to 20,000 sqm (215,000 sqft) of battery storage, with the whole site development authorized at once. The LDO, if permitted, would mean sustainability would be centered as a focus in the development of the project.

According to the company, it plans to develop a green park that would include water features, wet woodland habitat, green walls and roofs. Cycle routes and footpaths would also be included, along with electric vehicle and electric bike charging points.
