CtrlS Datacenters Ltd: CtrlS breaks ground on new data center in Gujarat, India

CtrlS Datacenters has broken ground on its greenfield data center in GIFT City, Gujarat, India as it announces that it intends to invest Rs 250 crore in the project which is dubbed CtrlS Gandhinagar 1 DC. At the launch ceremony, Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendrabhai Patel, laid the first stone for the facility.

CtrlS Datacenters mentioned that this new facility which will eventually be designed to a Tier IV standard will have the potential to create more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs in the region. The company is yet to decide on the size or capacity of this facility. However, Anil Nama, the CIO of CtrlS mentioned that it is scheduled to be commissioned by 2025. 

Sridhar Pinnapureddy, chairman of CtrlS Datacenters said, "Located in GIFT City, the data center will be easily accessible to all major clusters of the State. GIFT city is a global financial hub and home to several large international and national BFSI companies and is an ideal location for us.”
