Colombia: Colombian Data Centers Acquired by I-Squared Capital to Strengthen Portfolio in Growing Latin American Market

I-Squared Capital, a global infrastructure investment group, has bought two data centers in Colombia from the Colombian telecoms operator UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones. The data centers were formerly owned by UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones. I-Squared Capital will now have a larger footprint in Latin America as a result of the transaction, which will mark its debut on the Colombian market. The two data centers, one in Bogotá and the other in Medellin offer hosting and cloud services to various customers, including governmental organizations, financial institutions, and firms in the telecommunications industry. I-Squared Capital will be able to expand its portfolio of data centers in the region as a result of the acquisition, which will allow it to do so.
Sadek Wahba, Managing Partner at I-Squared Capital, expressed optimism over the company's expansion into Colombia, adding that this investment is in line with their long-term goal of acquiring high-quality infrastructure properties with a solid basis and growth prospects. Sadek Wahba also expressed excitement regarding the company's future in Colombia. Customers who use the data centers will continue to get telecommunications services from UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones, which is a subsidiary of Empresas Pblicas de Medellin. These services will be provided pursuant to a long-term contract.
