Sept 7, 2016 ColoGuard Enterprise Solutions, LLC, (ColocationGuard) has announced the acquisition of 10,000 sq ft of data center space in Jersey City at 111 Town Square Place (111 TSP). This latest step in the company’s expansion increases its total data center footprint to more than 60,000 sq ft.

With this recent addition, current and future customers of ColocationGuard will have 24/7 access to a robust array of connectivity options from Tier1 providers, including Lightower Fiber Networks and Zayo which will also directly connect ColocationGuard’s Brooklyn data center facilities to the new Jersey City location. Additionally, because the data center has been designated a Tier III facility by the Uptime Institute, it is an ideal choice for companies seeking disaster recovery capabilities. Businesses currently utilizing 111 TSP will also have direct access to ColocationGuard’s Brooklyn-based Meet-Me-Room, the ability to connect with all major Points-of-Presence (PoPs) in New York, and the benefits of ColocationGuard’s wide range of Managed Services.

The infrastructure at 111 TSP has the ability to support a high-density server environment with a fully redundant power architecture with a capacity of up to 12 megawatts of electricity. Additionally, the data center is protected and outfitted with a variety of security and safety features, including integrated CCTV, biometrics, and a cross-zoned fire protection system. To help customers benefit from increased energy efficiency, the facility’s cooling infrastructure provides a 3,320 N+1 closed loop data center cooling tower plant with free cooling capabilities.

“ColocationGuard’s expansion into Northern New Jersey is based on feedback received from businesses in a variety of industries, including internet carriers, health care, and financial services, and will provide data center customers with a direct path to New York,” said Ray Sidler, CEO, ColoGuard Enterprise Solutions, LLC. “Whether looking to increase their disaster recovery capabilities or utilize additional colocation options, customers in Northern New Jersey now have the bandwidth necessary to remain ahead in the marketplace.”

This acquisition and growth in Northern New Jersey are the next steps in ColocationGuard’s larger expansion plans. In April of 2015, the company added an additional 30,000 sq ft of space to its Brooklyn data center, making it the largest telco facility in the borough.
