CLP Power signs MoU with ESR

CLP Power Hong Kong Limited has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ESR HK Limited, through which it will develop sustainable data centers and logistics centers in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA), which it said will support "Hong Kong and the GBA to achieve their carbon neutrality goals."

According to the company's press release, CLP Power will provide "one-stop solution and support measures on energy management for ESR," which will include energy audits, Eco Building Fund and Electrical Equipment Upgrade Scheme to "improve the energy and carbon efficiency of its data centre and logistics projects in Hong Kong." The company also outlined that ESR will participate in CLP Renewable Energy Certificate Scheme.

Speaking about this, CLP Power MD T K Chiang said: "CLP Power is delighted to work with ESR and provide one-stop energy efficiency solutions and support for its development projects to reduce overall carbon emissions, supporting Hong Kong to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050," he added: "CLP Power will continue to work with our business customers to save energy and reduce carbon emissions."
