České Radiokomunikace has announced that it is looking to develop a new data center in Prague, Czech Republic. HN first announced the plans of the Czech telecommunication firm before the company confirmed it. Although Miloš Mastník, CR’s sales director, didn’t share details of the data center, he said it would be the largest in the Czech Republic. According to him, it will host up to 2,000 racks. According to the company, over 3 billion Czech Crowns ($130m) would be invested in the data center project.
Furthermore, CR says the data center will come online in 2024. České Radiokomunikace operates its core data center in Prague called DC Tower. The facility is the largest in the country. It also has other data centers in Ostrava, Pardubice, and Strahov. Cordiant Digital Infrastructure acquired the company from Macquarie Asset Management last year.
