Bit Origin Enter Agreement To Develop a 75MW Cryptominine Data Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming

Bit Origin Limited has announced that it will be developing a cryptomine data center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The company revealed that it had entered some agreements to invest up to $3m in a private crypto mining fund. The fund will then be used to develop a cryptomine with up to 75MW capacity in Cheyenne. According to reports, the cryptomine will be located on a site next to a Walmart distribution center and a Microsoft data center. The cryptomine will be designed and developed in partnership with Bit Origin.

The company will break ground on the facility in July 2022. The first development phase (45MW) is also scheduled to be delivered in September 2022. In addition, the cryptomine will be developed to full capacity by the end of 2022. Bit Origin’s CEO and Chairman, Lucas Wang, said the company is happy to be part of developing one of the largest cryptomines in Wyoming. According to him, the move is one of Bit Origin’s most significant achievements. 

There are 21 data centers in Cheyenne.
