: Beeline and Russian Railways sign digital services agreement

Beeline, a Russian mobile operator, has signed a deal to develop digital services with Russian Railways. The agreement will see Beeline and Russian Railways explore IT infrastructure development using Russian Railways’ data center infrastructure. In addition, the Companies look to improve the network coverage for Beeline customers with this deal.

Maxim Zaykov, EVP for Corporate Business at VimpelCom PJSC, a brand of Beeline, commented on the agreement. He said the combination of Russian Railways' infrastructures and Beeline’s pioneering approach to digitalization has great potential that can improve both the telecommunications and transportation sectors.

Russian Railways also noted that it has a vast network of data centers. It also said that expanding its coverage area through Beeline would allow it to provide continuous communication services for residents across many regions where the Company is present.
