AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp (ALLHC) has announced that it has partnered up with FLOW Digital Infrastructure through a framework agreement to develop carrier-neutral data centers in the Philippines. According to the two companies, the first stage of the rollout will deliver a 4.5MW-capacity facility which will be operational and ready for service by the fourth quarter of 2023.
This announcement comes as the Philippines gains increasing popularity as a data center hub, being a strategic location as a gateway from the Pacific to Asia, alongside having rich natural resources for renewable energy and enhanced connectivity.
Commenting on the partnership between the two companies, FLOW Digital Infrastructure CEO Amandine Wang said: “We are pleased to partner with ALLHC as they prepare to make this significant contribution to developing digital infrastructure capabilities in the Philippines.” Wang went on to explain that the partnership is “ideal” to meet the rising demand for digital infrastructure, due to the Flow team’s “decades of design and operational experience” and ALLHC’s record in industrial real estate development.
AyalaLand president and CEO of ALLHC, and senior vice president Jose Emmanuel H. Jalandoni added: “This investment will contribute to the Philippines’ transition to a digital economy. Furthermore, we believe this partnership with FLOW enhances the value of ALLHC’s industrial landbank.”
