Amazon AWS: AWS to launch more than 30 Local Zones globally

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is rolling out its Local Zones across the globe next year. The company will be opening 30 new locations across over 20 countries. Local Zones are used for Edge locations that host applications requiring low latency to end-users or on-premises installations. Each Local Zone offers services like storage, compute, and database). 

The company said it would be launching the 30 new Local Zones across major cities globally. AWS also revealed that the Local Zones will be available in over 20 countries starting in 2022. The company didn’t reveal details of the countries that will get Local Zones. However, it has promised Local Zones in Australia, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Colombia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Greece, Norway, Netherlands, Kenya, Portugal, Poland, Philippines, and South Africa.
