AWS files to build data center in DeSoto, outside Dallas, Texas

AWS has announced its filing to build a new facility in DeSoto, outside Dallas, Texas. The data center will reportedly span 30,000 square foot (2,790 sq m), and work will commence early next year, with a view for completion in 2024. The facility is known as the Ezell Drive Campus and according to reports, HSK is designing the project.

The facility will see an investment of $6 million and is one of several facilities planned by AWS for the Dallas Fort Worth area.
