According to reports, iSeek has acquired YourDC. The Australian data center firm acquired the data center operator for a fee in the AU$50 to100 million (US$32-64m) region. The acquisition sees iSeek’s data center presence rise to seven across four cities. The CEO and founder of YourDC, Scott Hicks, said: “The injection of growth capital will enable YourDC to build on our digital modernization programs, and expand our capacity and capabilities.” “Our list of blue-chip government, defense, and enterprise customers will benefit from the full range of new services we can now offer, using iseek’s mature Infrastructure as a Service platform.”
YourDC was launched in 2015, and it operates two facilities in the south and north of Adelaide, South Australia. The data centers are connected by a dedicated fiber ring. ADL1 is located in Hawthorn, and it offers 6,250 square feet (580 square meters) of technical space across two data halls. It also has the capacity for up to 220 racks. On the other hand, ADL2 is located in Edinburgh. The data center offers 24,550 square feet (2,280 square meters) of technical space and has the capacity for 800 racks.
