Arctic Wolf announces launch of Australian data center

Aug 16, 2023 | Posted by MadalineDunn

Arctic Wolf has opened a new local data center in Australia, it has announced. The local center, running as a module through AWS’s Sydney facility, is part of its strategic expansion. It launched in the country regionally last October.

The company outlined that this move sets it apart from other cybersecurity companies, which do not have a data center presence in Australia, a region where locality is becoming an increasing priority for global companies.

“Arctic Wolf is one of the few U.S. based cybersecurity companies that has a true local presence in Australia,” commented David Hayes, regional director, Australia and New Zealand, Arctic Wolf.

Hayes added that through the launch of its Sydney data center, it will be able to further support existing customers, and allow it to access new industries that "stress the importance of data locality."

“With the initiation of Arctic Wolf's local presence and data center here in Australia, we're ushering in a new era of advanced cybersecurity solutions,” commented Charlie Tannous, founder and technology director, Secure Agility, which has also teamed up with Arctic Wolf.

“This expansion fuels our partnership with Arctic Wolf and has allowed us to construct our robust Security Operations-as-a-Service offering. Together, we're set to empower our Australian clients with unparalleled defense capabilities against the increasingly sophisticated landscape of cyber threats.”
