An IBM-occupied data center in Dallas has been sold for $41 million

Five 9s Digital has revealed that it advised the owner of an IBM-leased data center in Dallas, Texas, to sell it off. The unnamed owner sold the facility for $41 million. However, the exact data center the firm sold can’t be identified at this moment as IBM has many data centers in Dallas. IBM is the only tenant at the facility.

The data center has 150,000 square feet of space, and the buyer is referred to as an “institutional investor of leased data center assets.” IBM revealed last year that it was shutting down operations at some data centers, including three in Dallas, that can no longer be upgraded. The firm’s D7, D2, and D6 facilities were part of the facilities marked for closing.
