PAIX: Africa50 Invests $20m in PAIX Data Centres

PAIX Data Centres has announced that investment vehicle, Africa50 has invested $20 million into its business. The funds raised signifies PAIX Data Center’s Series B financing by the investment firm. According to PAIX, the funds will be used to expand and grow into new markets. The CEO of PAIX DC, Wouter Van Hulten, said the company is at the forefront of developing and operating state-of-the-art data centers on the African continent. He added that Africa50’s support would allow the company to expand across the continent through the rollout of services to both international and local customers.
The Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure Investments at Africa50, Raza Hasnani, also commented on the development. He said the firm is happy to team up with PAIX DC to develop data centers and internet exchange infrastructure across Africa. He also noted that PAIX DC’s current and future data centers will have a great impact on many African economies through the drive for increased access to knowledge, innovation, and information.
