ADACEN has announced that it is relocating to Silver Spring, Maryland, in order to expand development. According to the company, this relocation is also a way for it to explore new technologies to make its data centers eco-efficient.
Part of this exploration will see the company research renewable energies and computer cooling techniques.
Commenting on the company moving into the region, Mayor Tim Keller said: “From day one, we’ve worked to build an economy that works for everyone and bring more good paying jobs to our city. ADACEN sees the tremendous growth opportunities that Albuquerque has to offer in both the tech and renewable energy sectors and we appreciate its investment in our city as it works to revolutionize the data center industry by making it more environmentally friendly.”
Meanwhile, Jon M. Davis, the Chairman of the ADACEN Board, said: As we looked around the country for a place to relocate and expand our development and testing, Albuquerque quickly emerged as the leading contender. In addition to the City being an attractive place for tech and renewable energy, the facility at the Sunport is ideal for the type of work we will be doing.”
