We are continually assessing national guidelines to guarantee we deliver the right blend of physical and virtual for this important industry touch-point built for mobile operators, carriers, aggregators & content providers.  It has become clear that we will not be able to hold Messaging & SMS World in London this year.

However, COVID-19 hasn’t stopped the mssaging &  SMS industry from providing its vital services to the digital economies of the world, hence it is important that we continue to enable the industry to share insights, meet with peers and vitally form new trade partnerships.

This is why we are incorporating the event into Capacity Europe 2020. The Messaging & SMS track at Capacity Europe enables key stakeholders in the global messaging community to explore the latest developments in areas including RCS, chatbots, A2P, and fraud and security solutions. This stream will highlight the need to continually innovate at a time when SMS has been the preferred communication of choice for enterprises during the Covid-19 pandemic.

NANOG 80 will be held October 19-21 as a virtual meeting to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community — the in-person meeting in Seattle has been canceled.

The Open Compute Project (OCP) Foundation, with the approval of the Board of Directors, has decided to cancel the 2020 Regional Summit, originally scheduled to begin September 30, 2020 in Prague.

 

The COVID-19 virus continues to make an impact worldwide in virtually every industry and community, and while we are hopeful that current measures will mitigate its expansion and allow us to return to normal business operations, the timing is just too uncertain. Furthermore, we did not want to expose the Foundation, or our sponsors to any further financial risk. We will issue a full refund for your sponsor commitment for the 2020 OCP Regional Summit.

 

This decision will allow us to focus exclusively on the upcoming OCP Virtual Summit, which overlaps with our content preparation and planning timeline for our fall event.
