According to a report by Bloomberg, GDS Holdings is considering acquiring GLP Pte’s data centers business. The value of the assets is substantial and estimated to be between $8-10 billion. If the prospective deal goes forward, it will enable the Chinese firm to expand its footprint, while GLP would become a GDS shareholder.
Negotiations are still in their infancy, meaning the deal could still collapse.

Talks come after GDS raised $1.9 billion last year and outlined plans to invest these funds in data centers in China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
