DigitalBridge announces partnership with ImpactData to target underserved communities

DigitalBridge has announced it has formed a partnership with ImpactData, to deliver a network of edge data centers built on an "inclusion-based delivery model." According to the company's press release, this model will enable enterprises to "leverage their data for good", advancing student learning, sustaining HBCUs, and "transforming historically disinvested communities."

Commenting on the reasoning behind this partnership, Marc Ganzi, Chief Executive Officer of DigitalBridge, said that while digital connectivity is a critical resource, it's not always fully accessible to everyone, and the digital divide is becoming wider. He expanded: "Our personal and professional lives increasingly rely on better, faster, and more dependable digital infrastructure." 

Adding: "We're excited to be a part of ImpactData's vision to create 'mini-cloud' regions and digital learning hubs on the campuses of HBCUs, giving diverse communities better access to the resources they so desperately need."
