NTT has revealed plans for its new 240MW data center campus in Mesa, Arizona. It has also broken ground on the site. The facility is on a 102-acre site, and it is located on Elliot Road Technology Corridor, Mesa, Arizona. It will have a 240MW capacity and 1.5 million square feet of floor space upon full buildout. In total, it will have seven buildings and a dedicated substation that will deliver up to 480MVA.

The first building on the Phoenix campus will be a two-story data center with 36MW of critical IT load. It will also have six 6MW vaults, with each measuring 21,125 square feet. NTT broke ground on the facility in April 2020, and it is scheduled to open in early 2022.

NTT says it chose the Phoenix market because of its affordable and reliable power. It also says the low risk of natural disasters, tax incentives, and connectivity to leading cloud providers were also reasons it chose Phoenix.
