Netrality has revealed plans for a new facility in Shawnee, Kansas. The company announced that it acquired a property at 7801 Nieman Road. The facility will be Netrality’s second data center in Kansas as it currently operates one at 1102 Grand Blvd, Kansas. The new facility has up to 2MW of capacity available, and it spans 172,000 square feet. Netrality says it will be delivering an additional MW during phase one of development. It will also add another 3MW during the second phase.

Netrality applied for $36 million in federal bonds last month to finance the renovation of a warehouse it acquired. CEO of Netrality, Gerald Marshall, said he thanks Shawnee City for approving the Industrial Revenue Bonds. He added that the company would continue to partner with the Shawnee Economic Development Council for the development of the city. Marshall also noted that the proximity between its two data centers in Kansas makes the new facility attractive to its customers.
