The Bank of Israel's Information Technology Department has announced the completion of its data center project. The facility is built to Tier 4 standard and is reportedly close to receiving its official certification from the Uptime Institute. The data center has also been built with green technology in order to conserve energy.

Commenting on the new data center and the possibilities it brings, Lior Georgi, Director of the Information Technology Department, said, "I would like to commend all those who worked on the establishment of the Bank's new data center. The data center is expected to serve the Bank in the coming years, and will enable the Bank to be at the technological forefront compared with other central banks."

He added: "Thousands of work hours were put into the planning and execution of the project, and hundreds of creative solutions were implemented in order to ensure that the Bank of Israel's functional continuity is maintained and that the project is implemented without affecting the Bank's ongoing activity. The completion of the project is a significant milestone in strengthening the central Bank and the Israeli economy."
