Herndon, VA – June 21, 2018 –EdgeConneX®, specializing in global data center solutions at the edge of the network, today announces the formation of an Edge Data Center® (EDC) campus in Denver by adding an additional building supporting 21MW of available capacity.  In addition, Megaport, the leading Network as a Service provider, will deploy their SDN to enable elastic interconnection services within EdgeConneX’s Denver facilities, helping to enable enterprise customers to securely and rapidly connect to multiple cloud service providers.

EdgeConneX’s Edge Data Center campus, located in the heart of the Denver technology center, offers a carrier-neutral and high power density facility purpose-built for content, network, cloud and IT providers, capable of supporting deployments of up to 30kW/rack. The new, 115,000-square-foot facility, built from the ground up in under six months, complements the existing facility, which hosts some of the leading network and web scale content service providers in the world.

Customers in the facility will have the ability to leverage Megaport to interconnect to leading cloud and managed service providers with flexible terms, and scale bandwidth on demand from 1 Mbps to 10 Gbps.  This extends the reach of the leading cloud service providers to the Edge and locally to markets like Denver, providing customers with improved choice, security, performance and economics when migrating their workloads to the cloud.

“By expanding our available capacity seven fold in the Denver market, we can easily scale our existing ecosystems of network and content service providers to include cloud service providers looking to garner hybrid cloud deployment from enterprises,” explains Jeff King, VP & General Manager for Denver Market.  “Additionally, by layering in cloud access solutions from Megaport, and managed cloud service providers, we are helping bring cloud solutions locally to Denver.”
